The town Liptovský Mikuláš is on river Váh in heart Liptovská fold cca 3 km from Liptoská Mara. Around this town are West and Low Tatras It is district town (33 400 inhabitants), administration, cultural and industrial center of Liptov. It is centre of turism with rich history.
Liptov is called parth northern Slovakia. Here is beautiful nature, many caves, thermal swimming pool, dam Liptovská Mara, archeological museum in nature, ruins of castles, monuments folk architecture, museums and galeries, alive folk. There are many changes ot turism, water sports, cycloturism and winter sports. Every year arrive here many people. |

Church st. Mikuláš, Liptovský Mikuláš
Catholic church st. Mikuláš is oldest build monuments in town Liptovský Mikuláš and the bigest „rannogotickou“ build in Liptov. It was build how parish church above habitation for inhabitants few village around- Vrbica, Okoličné, Ploštín, Palúdzka and Bobrovec. Evangelic church, Liptovský Mikuláš It was build „za vlády“ emperor Jozef II. „na základe tzv. Tolerančného patentu“ in 1783-1785. „Tolerančný“ cathedral build then on east border town. This area didn´t have Pongrácovci, but village Vrbica. Wooden evangelic church, Svätý Kríž One of biggest wooden buildings in middle Europe. There was carry over in 1974-192 from Paludza. Ground plan with long 43m looks like cross. It is church for 6 000 people. |

Family house sibs Rázusovci, Liptovský Mikuláš
Family house sibs Martin Rázus (1833-1937) and Mária Rázusová-Martáková (1905-1964)was part former independent village Vrbica, from 1923 „včlenenej“ to Liptovský Mikuláš. House was build in 80 years 19. storočia by parents Rázusovcov. Family house Aurela Stodolu, Liptovský Mikuláš From 1959 is there memorable board devoted scients prof. Dr. Ing. Aurel Stodola (1859-1942). Actually it isn´t original family house this famous phycics. Ie was born with his 3 brothers in house far about one street .He was also designer and scientist. Old evangelic manse, Liptovský Mikuláš The manse was build later like church. In 19 century manse became centre national life in the town. Synagogue It is in the centre of town Liptovský Mikuláš, 10 km from boardding house Limba. It was build in classical form in 1842-1846. Now it is show place of history jewish inhabitants in Liptovský Mikuláš and also building for concert. Inside is little bit reconstruct and now it is show place. Museum Janka Kráľa Museum Janka Kráľa was establish in 1955 like distric „vlastivedné“ museum which is called after poet from Liptovský Mikuláš- Janko Kráľ. In museum is Illešházyovská curia, first house, later known like Seligovský house, where probably judge national hero higwayman Jánošík. |
